Honestly, I've never ranked very high on the charts when it comes to making friends, and I've often thought that this might be the reason why. It's not that I'm not interested in getting to know other people, I'm just not very talkative. I never have been. Once I start to feel comfortable around someone, then I'll let loose a bit and even dare ask them about themselves. But more often than not, people will get the wrong impression of me and don't stick around long enough for me to change it. I'm not complaining or asking for any sympathy here; I'm just stating the facts. I've learned that the ones that do stick around are the only ones that are really worth it anyway.
