The blues Brothers
i love this video and adore Blues Brothers. Have a great weekend pumpkins. i got to the University and i watched a great lecture. Professor Weitz, my teacher on Literature reminded me once more what a great teacher and speaker he is, I enjoyed it. He made me want to read about Anthropology. As i was leaving i remembered another great teacher of mine, Mr Batzoglou, he would have been very proud of me, if he had known that i was studying literature. He is dead and i feel bad i couldn't have the chance to tell him about my victory. I wish he saw me from above. i miss him.
Anyway, don't get melancholic. Have a great time.... i'll be thinking of you..
i have another addiction.. Dowton Abbey.. i bet that if you watch it once, you can't live without it.
enjoy....

have magic moments.xoxoxo

Pretzels my favourite

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups warm (110 to 115 degrees F) water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 package active dry yeast
22 ounces all-purpose flour, approximately 4 1/2 cups
2 ounces unsalted butter, melted
Vegetable oil, for pan
10 cups water
2/3 cup baking soda
1 large egg yolk beaten with 1 tablespoon water
Pretzel salt
Directions
Combine the water, sugar and kosher salt in the bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle the yeast on top. Allow to sit for 5 minutes or until the mixture begins to foam. Add the flour and butter and, using the dough hook attachment, mix on low speed until well combined. Change to medium speed and knead until the dough is smooth and pulls away from the side of the bowl, approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the dough from the bowl, clean the bowl and then oil it well with vegetable oil. Return the dough to the bowl, cover with plastic wrap and sit in a warm place for approximately 50 to 55 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Line 2 half-sheet pans with parchment paper and lightly brush with the vegetable oil. Set aside.
Bring the 10 cups of water and the baking soda to a rolling boil in an 8-quart saucepan or roasting pan.
In the meantime, turn the dough out onto a slightly oiled work surface and divide into 8 equal pieces. Roll out each piece of dough into a 24-inch rope. Make a U-shape with the rope, holding the ends of the rope, cross them over each other and press onto the bottom of the U in order to form the shape of a pretzel. Place onto the parchment-lined half sheet pan.
Place the pretzels into the boiling water, 1 by 1, for 30 seconds. Remove them from the water using a large flat spatula. Return to the half sheet pan, brush the top of each pretzel with the beaten egg yolk and water mixture and sprinkle with the pretzel salt. Bake until dark golden brown in color, approximately 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack for at least 5 minutes before serving.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
(in fact it was yesterday)
i swear i said i would post something for a happy weekend but i didn't. These days were quite busy. I ought to say "goodbye" to a friend who left for China. I didn't e-mail him anything because he didn't tell me he was leaving, i found that out from my sister, we talked in msn and he didn't mention it. So i never called him to say goodbye. He probably read this post or not. I wish him a happy staying there and a quick return if that is what he wants, whatever.
My best man got married last Saturday. i had a few preparations to make, a wedding present to buy. It was a lovely marriage i really enjoyed. He was sooo happy. The bride was astonishing. My best friend Sophie (his sister) was shining too. I was happy. It's been long since the last time i enjoyed a wedding party so much. I was dancing till 3 am. i'll post some photos as soon as i get  them. I did't take photos from my cell phone. i was having such a good time i hadn't even thought about that.
I have two new students for german and i'm soooo happy because they are grown ups. At last!! i adore kids but i needed older students.
I also visited my Goddaughter. She has grew up so much lately. She became taller. I was hearing on the phone, talking to her friend (and schoolmate), planning today's excursion and i thought (oh, my God, she's getting older).

i have started reading Maria Menounos' book and i can't leave it down. the whole book is an advice. I'll make notes there, it'll be my magic book. here is information.
have a happy week. a busy week is waiting for me.
Smile, pumpkins, life is short. Make your days matter. Live!!

To friends that go away or keep distances

my mood is quite melancholic today. i'm getting better. The sun outside makes me happy. I admit my addiction to John Bon Jovi. Guilty as charged!!
I heard that a friend is living abroad soon. I wish he found there what he misses and never forgot those who leave behind.  Bon voyage my friend.
I'm at work, swamped by tasks to accomplish. i'll be back soon.
xoxo. smile, life is great, if you let it be

My addiction: Madonna

I was hearing her as a teenager, i always thought she is a very talented and passionate woman/artist: not always made the right choices, but she is authentic, and there is never going to be another like her.

my favourite trainer on flesh and blood

well, I've said that I find Tracey Anderson amazing. I have her DVDs and  train from time to time. BUT there is a man who trains me the last 13 years. We talk and laugh but the training is too hard. I often reach my limits.
I've seen big changes on my body because of him. I'm stronger, more flexible, taugher, more social. I learned to hear, watch, feel my body. There are times when I want to yell at him because I'm furious, exhausted and pain kills me. The weird thing is that i forgive him, always. I find in him the best of intentions. A smile saying " you made it" is enough to help me tolerate.
A great thanks to my teacher.
Boss, have the best name celebration day for tomorrow. See you in the arena.
xoxo
